Hi guys! Welcome back to another fashion post! Today I thought I would show you guys some of my favorite spring and summer trends of the past year or two.

So, prior to this I did a little research to see what the trends for 2020 were and found some pretty crazy stuff (like always, you never know what you'll find on the internet). But, among the eye boggling fashion, I found a few trends that I actually liked and actually have been wearing.

Now, please excuse me if some of what I am posting on today is not technically the popular "trend" as posted by fashion shows and magazines, but more of what I've seen other teens (both in real life and on social media) wearing and styling. Also, the products I'm reviewing are products I have used and the opinions I post are solely my own.

Now, without further ado, let's jump into some of my favorite spring and summer trends!

Trend No. 1‒Footbed Sandals

Mad Love Keava Footbed Sandals, Target

So our first trend that I am posting is these footbed sandals. Yes, you may have actually seen these all over on pretty much every single teen girl (and young adult). But, do you blame them?

They are honestly so comfortable and are such an easy sandal to wear with pretty much anything.

Got a cute jumpsuit but don't know what to wear it with?
   Footbed sandals.

Want to go casual with leggings and an oversize tee or sweatshirt?
   Footbed sandals.

   Going to the beach?
   Footbed sandals.

Need I go on? Yes, these sandals are versatile and can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. And, they're (IMHO) definitely a big summer trend that I'm sure many people will be wearing this summer.

If you'd like to see these in some outfits, check out my other post: 3 Ways to Style Footbed Sandals.

Trend No. 2‒Paperbag Pants and Shorts

Our next trend is one that actually has been around for a while, and that is the paperbag pants and shorts.

Now this trend is one of my favorites because, obviously, it is absolutely a cute trend! Now, I don't actually own a pair of paperbag shorts (though I wish I did), but I did just recently buy a pair of paperbag pants, as seen in the two images above.

I love these so much and think they are a super cute spring and summer piece. I love the idea of having a tied belt, and also the fact that they are high waisted.

So, I definitely recommend investing in a pair of these, because they are a summer must-have!

Trend No. 3‒Jumpsuits

Square-neck Cami Jumpsuit, Old Navy. Similar here

Okay, so this may not technically be a trend, but I certainly think it is. I love this jumpsuit so much, and I actually wore it on Easter Sunday this past April.

Jumpsuits can be a super easy spring and summer go to, as you literally only have one piece to worry about. They are also super easy to style, and you can add your own flair to any jumpsuit! The one I am wearing is from Old Navy, and it is flowy and comfortable. But, one thing I would say about it is that it wrinkles and creases very easily, and sometimes it rides up (if you know what I mean... lol).

I like styling my jumpsuit with a cute cardigan and a pair of good ol' Vans, which I actually haven't shown y'all yet but I'm hoping to show them in some outfits this summer. You could also pair a jumpsuit with a jean jacket, or just wear as is. I would also wear this with my footbed sandals (mentioned above) or even just regular sandals.

As you can see, there are endless options and ways to style this amazing, trendy piece and it is definitely a summer favorite of mine. I hope to show y'all some more styles with this piece, but we'll have to see!

Trend No. 4‒High Waisted, Well, Everything

The Everyday Short, Old Navy

Now this is a trend that you may actually have known about and seen everywhere and on everything. Yes, I mean everything. From jeans to shorts to even swimsuits, high waisted bottoms are a huge trend right now.

Now, these shorts may not actually be high waisted, but I like to think they are and I like to style them as if they were. High waisted bottoms are more commonly known among the jeans category, as you may know mom jeans are a thing that some people like and some don't. But, I have seen denim shorts that are high waisted and even the paperbag shorts (discussed above) are also considered high waisted.

High waisted bottoms can be a controversial topic that all depends on taste and style. I personally love mid- to high-rise pants and bottoms because I like feeling "secure", so to speak. But, like I said, it's all up to your personal preference and taste.

  But, I digress.

Trend No. 5‒Vans

Checkered Slip-ons , Vans

Oh boy, I could go on and on about these babies. Yes, I am a sucker for shoes, Vans and Converse in particular.

That's right, Vans are a big trend right now and I am sure of it. I know that pretty much everyone owns at least one pair of Vans (if not more). But, who can blame us?

Vans are so comfortable and such an easy shoe to style with. I personally like slip-ons better, and there are so many different styles and colors to choose from. TBH, I can't even go on their website for too long because otherwise I'd end up obsessing over them. (Hah!)

But yes, Vans is a big trend that has been around for a while and I think will be big this summer as well.

Well, guys, that was one wild ride of a post. Thanks for tuning in to see some of my favorite spring and summer trends, and I hope to see you next week!
